A Guide To Renting East Sussex CottagesBy Anna Stenning Hiring a cottage for the weekend is always a sound idea, whether you are a couple, in a group or fancy a retreat with your family. Like most cottages they are generally scattered around in the countryside near wooded areas that have footpaths for people to stroll upon freely, or cycle across in weather permitting. One of the most popular places to rent out a cottage is East Sussex countryside. This attracts many visitors every year for being an old yet contemporary countryside area, allowing a much relaxed break away and a time to enjoy some of its finest entertainment. Booking East Sussex cottages provides people a more luxurious and enjoyable way appreciating the surroundings. There are plenty of interesting and historical sites in this area, making it one good for people looking to stay active on their break as well as finding time to relax. This has also been well regarded as the pleasure dome, along with Brighton, because it is a popular resort. The main attractions lie at the heart East Sussex whereby visitors can explore the historical buildings that reveal much of its heritage and why the county has become so prosperous. Some of the attractions include Brighton Pier (where many people will find large groups of younger people and plenty of bar entertainment), Beachy Head (more popular for its white cliffs), Battle Abbey (a historical building symbolising the loss of lives during the time of William the conqueror) and many more. To find good quality and affordable East Sussex cottages, one would need to find a location that is not too central. Cheaper locations are generally further away from the main attractions. The surrounding natural beauty of this county makes it all the more a sought after place for people looking to settle in the countryside. It is idyllic for people looking to retire, because of the abundance of fishing spots, golf courses, horse races and theatres. Alternatively there are places for the young at heart to socialise in local pubs, bars, restaurants and more theatres. Generally the central areas make up for the quite areas, so there is something for everybody in terms of musical entertainment and annual festivals. Most cottages tend to be in a secluded area because they are designed to act as an escape away from the hustle and bustle of the town centres. However, some are closer to the centre, because they make for easier access to the main attractions. People looking to book a cottage will need to bear in mind that they may need to take their own mode of transportation to be able to stay mobile around the area. East Sussex is a well populated and large area which makes it more difficult to walk to places from the rented cottages. If it is culture and history one is looking to experience, then finding a cottage closest to the attractions is an ideal place for temporary residence. Bear in mind that these tend to be more expensive and are nearly always booked up more quickly than others during certain times of the year.
