The Fate of our NationBy Terry Germany A few weeks ago God gave me a very sobering word for our country. The message was entitled; A Nation Cut Off. In this message I drew a parallel line from the ancient history of the nation of Israel and the United States of America. The word of God tells us very clearly in several passages that the nation of Israel would find themselves at the point of being cut off. Because of their rebellion and harlotry Israel would fall away from the God of their fathers, and come dangerously close to being separated from God's protection and provision. We find in the word of God that several other unbelieving nations were in fact cut off forever. As we take the line and draw it from Israel to the present condition of our nation, my fear is this; We are dangerously close to being Cut Off. Yes, America like Israel was a nation that was founded upon the biblical principles of God's word. Yes, we have been much like Israel in our history in that we too were the benefactors of God's blessings and protection. But the America of the past is not the America of today. In the past, we produced more missionaries and sent them out than any other nation in the world. Now we have become the number one producer and provider of pornography in the world. What is it? We have rebelled against the Lord, and we have played the harlot. We legislate immorality, kill our unborn, sanction unbiblical ethics, and endorse ungodly principles. All the while, righteousness and morality is ridiculed and reviled. Therefore, we are seeing the effects of a nation that is dangerously close to being cut off. As we look out and discern the current condition of our world, we will see a very frightening sight. Our economy is failing, sin is rising, and perversion has become the order of the day. It seems as though, the protection and blessings of God are beginning to lift from our nation! God help us! In this time of uncertainty, we must understand that the fate of our nation does not rest in the hands of our newly elected President. Our fate rests in the hands of God! We as a nation need now more than ever to repent. Israel would always come close to being cut off yet they would always repent and return to the Lord. Today, we must do the same! Please understand this. Now is not the time to place our trust in our governments. Now is not the time to continue to refuse to hear God's warnings. But now is the time for our nation to repent! The fate our our future depends upon it. Let's pray now for a national revival to sweep across our land, and let's return to the Lord with our whole heart.
