Why We Need Fire AlarmsBy Aydan Corkern Fire alarms are really good to have in your home. They are supposed to be in your home so it can detect fires and smoke that starts in your house. They are designed for this to protect your family and anyone else in your house. If you don't have one or you have to get a new one, you can put it on the ceiling or on the wall that has to be about 10 inches from the ceiling so it can detect the smoke in the air. They give out loud noises that we can and will hear. The noises are a loud beeping sound that goes off as long as the smoke is in the air, and it will not stop until the smoke is gone. The alarms can pick up small puffs of smoke that can be from your food or too many cigarettes on your home. Fire alarms are our way for survival. It is the key protector for our lives and it works really well. They also last for a long time so all we have to do is check them and change the batteries once in a while. I can't tell you how many lives it has saved over the years that we have had them. All I can tell you is that it is a lot of people and they are happy that they had the fire alarms in their home. They are used in building that we have many businesses in. When they go off, it sets off the sprinkles to get out the fire so it does not take their jobs away and so it saves the lives of the employees because every person in that building is important, and they don't want their lives taken from them. It sends out a signal to the fire fighter that there is a fire, and it tells them where it is. It lets you know even when you are asleep. You need to have one in every room in your house so everyone will hear that beeping noise so they can get out in time. If people do not have them in their house, they can have a fire and not know it and they can die or get serious bodily damage from the fire. When you have fire alarms, you need to change the batteries twice a year so they stay running good for you.
